This Fund was set up to commemorate Etonians who fell in the Zulu, Afghan and Boer Wars of 1879-1881. It paid for the organ screen in College Chapel, erected to Street's design and decorated with their coats of arms. Edmond Warre was the Eton Secretary (and apparently also Treasurer), the Provost was chairman and there was a distinguished committee of Old Etonians.
