The autograph letters describe his school days and ask after family members. He often describes the latest books he has read and the sports he played, however the letters also start to give a sense of his isolation whilst at the school. The file also contains one letter from Mary Buckle, who was known as ‘Minna’ and was appointed as a nurse to the Thesiger children.
