Small bound (day to a page) diary where Thesiger has added brief handwritten entries on various days throughout the year. The entries act more as working diary of his time in Tanganyika, listing times and places, rather than a fuller account of his journey. However some of the entries note particular villages or monuments. For the rest of the year the diary contains Thesiger’s various appointments while he was in London.
