Small bound (day to a page) diary where Thesiger has added brief handwritten entries on various days. The majority of the entries act more as working diary, listing times and places, however between June and November, the entries provide a more detailed account of his journey through Yemen, noting the villages he passed through and aspects of the landscape that were of geographical interest.
