Content description
Twenty nine photocopied initial front cover designs by Mark Boxer, with ms. annotations by Powell. Many of these are different early versions of the same character, including five versions of a sketch of the Cafe Royale scene from 'A Soldier's Art' and three versions of Mrs. Erdleigh with one in colour. These photocopied sketches are attached to a typed letter from Mark Boxer to Powell asking for his opinion. Also included are colour photocopies of the final published versions of Boxer's cover designs.
