Content description
Anthony Powell's postcard copy of Poussin's oil painting 'A Dance to the Music of Time', now in The Wallace Collection, London. It was painted between 1634 and 1636. Much later, it became the inspiration for Powell's series of novels named after the painting. Nicolas Jenkins reflects upon the painting in the first two pages of 'A Question of Upbringing'.
