A collection of mostly typed letters signed and one autograph card signed from Lady Violet Powell to Jean Tooke, concerning Jeoffry Spence's research papers into the Devon author E.M. Delafield. Lady Powell suggests the University of Exeter as a suitable location for the archive. This collection also includes Jean Tooke's letters to the University and copies of Jean Tooke's letters replying to Lady Powell.
Provenance
Given to Eton College Library by Jean Tooke in 2007. Letter of donation addressed to Michael Meredith is also included in the collection.
