Content description
A 1940s telegram addressed to 2nd Lieutenant C. W. Powell from [?Lord] Birkenhead. Birkenhead asks whether C. W. Powell will play field game at St. Andrew's Day. As Powell was based in Belfast at the time and the rank corresponds with Powell, it can be assumed that the initials 'C.W.' are incorrect and that the telegram does refer to Anthony Powell.
