Item
Colonel Victor Cazalet was a British Conservative Party Member of Parliament . He died in a plane crash with General Sikorski in 1943.
[1940-1943?]
1 card in an envelope
Anthony Powell's invitation to a party at the Dorchester 'to welcome General Sikorski back from Russia'. The rest of the invitation reads: "Major V. A. Cazalet requests the pleasure of your company on Wednesday, January 21st at the Dorchester [...]". Anthony Powell, as a member of the intelligence corps during WWII, was working with Poland and presumably knew Cazalet and Sikorski as a result.
