Noel Blakiston, author and archivist. He was a King's Scholar at Eton, where he met Cyril Connolly (1903-1974), author and literary reviewer. Their friendship flourished in the 1920s and continued throughout their lives. In 1975, Blakiston published A Romantic Friendship: the Letters of Cyril Connolly to Noel Blakiston.

Items relating to the publication of Cyril Connolly's letters to Noel Blakiston, published as A Romantic Friendship in 1975. An autograph page of notes by Noel Blakiston identifies some people mentioned in the correspondence, as does an ALS from R. A. B. Mynors dated 1975 Jul 1. Also present, a copy of photographs of Connolly and Blakiston for the frontispiece, and a folder of clippings of reviews of the book.
