File originally labelled ‘Re: Escape Books’. It contains a list of books, which deal with escapes from prisoner of war camps as a subject and other related papers. They were collected as part of his general research on the subject, and used when compiling his anthologies on escape literature – ‘The Escapers’ – (published in 1953) and ‘More Escapers’ – (published in 1968).
