Drafts for Rutherford's novel originally published in 1978.
Including a corrected manuscript, 257pp., dated July 1977; a corrected typescript, written under the original title 'Take the Escape Road', and including some manuscript papes; a further typescript containing surplus and amended pages (with pages not in numerical order); a corrected proof displaying the change of title to 'Escape Road', with a mixture of typescript and manuscript pages with insertions, and including a manuscript note by Rutherford to say it is 'my hand-amended copy'; and a typescript (setting copy) 162pp. showing the change of title to 'Collision Course'.
Also included are various published copies of the novel including, UK first edition (London: Macmillian, 1978), handback with dust-jacket; and a large print UK edition (Bath: Lythway Press, 1980), hardback with dust-jacket; and a later UK edition (London: Magnum Books (Methuen), 1980)
