Rough manuscript draft and notes, for the novel originally published in 1987. Written under the original title of 'The Sudden Death Game', dated September - March 1986-7.
The draft is divided into various sections, including structure of the plot, first thoughts, musing, a fasle start (dated 11.09.86), and notes marked 'just trying for mood and style. 15pp. you DUMP'.
Pages mostly not in numerical order.
Other drafts include is a corrected typescript 247pp., dated 1987, which includes a letter from Macmillan returning the typescript; a corrected proof, produced by Macmillian, London, 1987; and a corrected proof of the first American edition, setting copy, dated March 1989.
Also included is a large print edition of the novel (Ulverscroft, 1990)
