Content description
The series comprises Jeremy Clarke’s papers relating to the creation of his poem Praise (2009) which includes manuscript and typescript drafts, edited and printed editions of the chapbook and a CD edition of the words and music. He collaborated with British sculptor Emily Young on a work in stone for St Pancras Old Church in London. The stone, a polished block of Carrara marble, is inscribed with an extract from Praise- 'And I am here / in a place beyond desire / or fear'. It was unveiled in 2009. Praise was also incorporated into his later collected work, Stone Hours (2024)
