Contains letters and papers relating to the proposed reform at Eton College, with particular reference to Clerical Fellowships. It includes correspondence between the Provost Charles O Goodford, Edward Stone and William Johnson Cory discussing the proposals.
Also included are:
- An 8pp. autograph memoranda by William Johnson Cory entitled ‘Observations’, which discusses the way Eton College spends its revenues, particularly in relation to exhibitions and provisions for the College Library [1871]
- Handwritten drafts, with corrections and annotations, and a printed copy of the ‘Proposed New Statutes of Eton College’
Also included are:
