Geoffrey R. Gunther was one of 3 brothers. He attended Eton (M.D.H.) and served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards during WWI. He was killed at Preux-le-Sar, France, on 4th November 1918 ( a week before the Armistice). His youngest brother, Leslie, died in an aeroplane crash in 1922. The Eton College Chronicle is created and edited principally by the Boys. It has been published regularly since 1863.
