Adrian Stephen was a member of the Bloomsbury Group, an author and psychoanalyst, and the brother of Virginia Woolf and Vanessa Bell. Arthur Clive Bell, generally known as Clive Bell, was an English art critic associated with formalism and the Bloomsbury Group. He also married Vanessa Stephen, the sister of the Virginia Woolf, in 1907. Their marriage was over by the First World War but never officially divorced.
