Charles (Charlie) Lindsay Claude Bowes-Lyon (1885-1914) son of the Hon. Francis and Lady Anne Bowes-Lyon, of Ridley Hall, Bardon Mill, Northumberland. Educated at Eton College 1898-1903, commissioned into the 1st Battalion Black Watch (Royal Highlanders). He was killed in action at the First Battle of Ypres on 23 October 1914, aged 29.
