Wilfrid Blunt (1901-1987) was a writer who served as Drawings Master at Eton College between 1938 and 1959, before becoming Curator of the Watts Gallery between 1959 and 1983.

The letters are generally quite short and concern various day-to-day matters as well as her teaching posts at Hatherop College and discussion over a number of their common acquaintances, particularly from their Eton days. They also include discussion about life at Eton College and news since they both left.
The file also contains a pen sketch of Baldwin’s Shore [where Hartley was house master]; a photograph of the 1947 flood in Eton along with a letter from Grizel Hartley describing the flood; and two photographs of Grizel Hartley.
