Arranged by title, the drafts include autograph manuscript and corrected typescripts frequently written on scraps of papers. Most only exist in single drafts, but the occasional poem has several drafts as Howard revisited the work. It includes a file of his early poetry, written whist as school.
A number of the poems are also dedicated to his various friends, including Harold Acton and Stephen Spender.
