The file contains an autograph letter from Jessie Conrad asking Ashton-Gwatkin to visit and an extract from the Times Literary Supplement (14 Aug 1924) concerning the death of Joesph Conrad.
Also included is a mounted photograph of Joseph Conrad, with an inscription by Jessie and John Conrad (Joseph Conrad’s wife and son). The inscription dated 31 December 1925 reads ‘To our valued friends, who were also friends of Joseph Conrad’. Mounted with the photograph is a enveloped address to Conrad with a pen and ink sketch on Conrad
