The working papers complied as part of Robert McCrum’s research into Cuba which resulted in 'Castro's Castaways', an article by McCrum published in the Weekend Guardian in February 1991. It includes a collection of research articles on Cuba from magazines and newspapers, and corrected typescripts and correspondence relating to the article and five notebooks containing brief handwritten notes and memoranda relating to his research on Cuba, some of which are written on loose sheets and inserted into the notebooks.
