The letters concern, lectures and sermons Merchant gave at Eton as well as the arrangements for Eton College to preserve Merchant's archive. The letters also discuss Merchant's sculpture, writings and his academic work.
The file also includes one autograph letter from Merchant to Meredith discussing his work. Some greeting cards and postcards are also included.

Kept with these letters is a file of Michael Meredith’s letters to Moelwyn Merchant. These were given to Eton College Library in 2021 by Michael Meredith to compliment the Moelwyn Merchant archive.
