Also included are seven half maroon grained leather volumes containing parliamentary papers, primarily relating to Jamaica and the West Indies (Kn.1.19-Kn.1.25). They include 'Papers relative to slave emancipation in Jamaica. Laid before parliament and printed by order of The Honourable House of Assembly', 1836, and other papers regarding the abolition of slavery. The papers range in date from 1833 to 1840. It should be noted that not every sequence of these papers is complete.
