Copy of a three-quarter portrait ?in oils in gold frame and mount, of Amelia Morris (née Holland) wearing a black dress, red shawl and a white feathered bonnet; inscription in pen in the reverse: ‘Likeness taken in 1841, of […] Mrs Morris – a copy this of the original and given to Mrs O[ctavius] Moulton-Barrett [i.e. Maria Amelia Morris] June 1867 from MSD [?Drummond]; inscription on the reverse of the mount: (Sarah) AMELIA HOLLAND marries EDWARD MORRIS (1844) Daughter MARIA ELIZABETH MORRIS married’ [Octavius Moulton-Barrett]; and a further inscription at the foot of the reverse of the mount, ‘this picture of her mother given to Maria M-B by Mrs Drummond’
