William Plummer Barrett Waite was the son of William Plummer and Green Barrett Waite, and nephew of Elizabeth Barrett Williams and Mary Barrett Lockhead. He was also the great-nephew of Edward and Judith Barrett. He served as trustee of Edward Barrett’s estate and was the administrator of the will of his cousin George Goodin Barrett (1761–1795).
