Harry Oswald Bishop (1866-) presumably Lt. Col. Harry Oswald Bishop of Andover, Hampshire. He had a daughter called Mary Wina Mannin (Molly) bishop (1911-1998), artist, to whom this volume is inscribed. She later married Lord George Francis John Montagu-Douglas-Scott.

Content description
A collection of coloured pen and ink illustrations of scenes from Browning's 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin' with the accompanying text below. Each illustration is on oiled paper sewn to cloth and interleaved with cloth. Bound with navy patterned cloth with a paper label on the front board: "The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning, original illustrations by Harry Oswald Bishop, 1914".
Provenance
Presentation inscriptions on first leaf of cloth: "For darling Mollie on her birthday with Daddie's love" and "for our Bunting" in a blue pen underneath.
