Content description
Ten cartes-de-visite of Elizabeth Barrett-Browning and two of her tomb. The cartes-de-visite of Elizabeth consist of a unique photograph of Elizabeth by Fratelli D'Alessandri, 1861, a photograph of Elizabeth with her son Pen (identified as "Rome, 1860" in Elizabeth's hand) with a copy, four copies of a photograph by Elliott & Fry of a daguerrotype by Les Freres Mecaire, 1858, two copies of a photograph by Fratelli D'Alessandri, Rome, 27 May 1861 (one of these is dated in Browning's hand and the other belonged to Susan Fuller, maid) and two copies of a photograph taken in Rome, May 27 1862 (one annotated in Browning's hand).
