Newbolt and Duckworth family papers: Margaret Newbolt's diaries
File
1883-1960
15 volumes and 1 envelope
An early volume contains a description of her holiday to Rome with her husband Henry Newbolt.
There is a gap until the survival of yearly diaries with autograph entries, containing her daily appointments and activities between 1907 and 1918. Covering the First World War period. An additional envelope contains miscellaneous scraps and entries kept from later diaries dated 1939-1960.
The rest of the volumes were destroyed by Theresa Whistler in 1986 after she read them and judged them not to have been of interest
