Thomas Hardy collection: Papers of the Wood-Homer family relating to Hardy

The Wood-Homer family resided at Athelhampton Hall, close to Higher Bockhampton in Dorset, when Hardy was a child. Hardy remained a friend of the family throughout his life, corresponding with Eliza Wood-Homer and Miss (Christine) Wood-Homer as the years went by. ECL has some of Hardy and Florence Hardy's letters to the Wood-Homers.

Papers of the Wood-Homer family that relate to Hardy. The file consists of three manuscript drafts of a pamphlet published by Christine Wood-Homer called 'Thomas Hardy and His Two Wives' (1964), two manuscript copies of a poem titled 'On hearing Thomas Hardy was to be buried at Westminster' possibly by Christine Wood-Homer, ALS from James Warren to Christine Wood-Homer mentioning Hardy, a postcard from ?Hermann Lea to ?George Wood-Homer with a scene from 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' and an ALS from Rev. W. M. Tate-Stoate to Mrs (Eliza) Wood-Homer apparently unrelated to Hardy.
