Collection consists of a typescript titled 'Whitsun in the Hardy Country, 1921', featuring reminiscences of Hardy, the rough draft of an article by Johnson about the ball held in Brussels the night before the Battle of Waterloo (with date correction in Hardy's hand), ALS from Florence Hardy to Johnson concerning the article, a letter of condolence from Henry Hardy (Hardy's brother) to Johnson about the death of his father and a cutting of the article itself from the Illustrated London News on 16 June 1923. Also included are three postcards of people and places related to Hardy and correspondence with editors.
