An autograph letter from John Lane to A. M. Broadley discussing an adaptation of Hardy by the Dorchester Debating Society, 8 September 1907. With the programme for the adaptation.
An autograph letter from H. A. Martin, Honorary Secretary of the Dorchester Debating and Dramatic Society, to an unidentified recipient, 12 December 1910. Martin discusses adaptations of Hardy and also mentions an enclosed letter of memorandum in Hardy's hand.
An autograph letter from J. M. Barrie to Edmund Gosse, 15 March 1928. Barrie tells Gosse that Mrs Hardy is sending a book of poetry to him.
An autograph letter from Elizabeth Jennings, undated. Jennings gives her opinion of Hardy.
