Extensive correspondence from Edward Thompson, writing on behalf of William Heinemann Ltd., regarding the publication of various works by Edward Gordon Craig, with an emphasis on the re-issue of ‘On the Art of the Theatre’. Many of the letters have been annotated by Craig, and some of his draft replies are also included as well as two typed letters to Craig from Ewald Junge regarding changes to ‘On the Art of the Theatre’.
Also included is a memorandum of agreement for republishing the work, which has been annotated by Gordon Craig.
