1 box containing 3 small original boxes of glass negatives formerly removed to Rhubarb & Custard for reproduction:
'Box 2' 'EGC prints of Arena Goldoni', 'EGC designs' inc. Nativity, Mrs Rane, Rings of Rope, Hamlet.
'Box 3': mostly Vikings, Hamlet and house, 'Thatchley', Suffolk, 1902.

Arrangement

The boxes were in two cardboard boxes in H, but were moved into 5 archive boxes on wooden shelves by the door in H 22/04/2024. The boxes of negatives are disordered, some boxes have labels, some envelopes include descriptions. There is one box of photo prints from negatives. Some of the negatives were found to contain cellulose nitrate and were removed to secure stotage in September 2022. Those negatives have been digitised and are now in the digital image collection.One box containing 3 original boxes of negatives were taken to Rhubarb & Custard for reporoduction and were returned to ECL in April 2024. Negatives need sorting and arranging.

Physical characteristics

Glass negativites are very fragile; some are cracked or chipped.
