A copy of the programme for a performance of ‘Nance Oldfield’, starring Ellen Terry, and a performance Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas’ and ‘The Masque of Love’ at The Coronet Theatre (1901), directed by Martin Shaw and Edward Gordon Craig. Also included are press comments on the performance, printed by Edward Gordon Craig, and a postcard of the theatre.

Several programmes for performances at The Imperial Theatre, while under the management of Ellen Terry. It includes a production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and Ibsen’s ‘The Vikings’ (1903), both of which were directed by Edward Gordon Craig with Martin Shaw as the Musical Director. It also includes a call for actors to attended rehearsal for ‘Much Ado’, which has been signed by Edward Gordon Craig.

Three copies of the programme for ‘Dido & Aeneas, an opera by Henry Purcell and performed by the Purcell Operatic Society, 1900-1901, with the scenes deigned by Edward Gordon Craig and Martin Shaw as the Musical Director. The programmes was designed and engraved by Craig and are in their original wrappers. Inserted into one of the programmes is a letter from Craig, enclosing the copies of the programmes.

Two copies of the prospectus for a proposed entertainment; ‘A Masque, The Harvest Home’, which was designed and arranged by Martin Shaw and Edward Gordon Craig (c.1901). The pamphlet was designed and printed by Edward Gordon Craig with woodcuts and decoration. Additional copies are held on Kbb.4.16.

Ephemera relating to Martin Shaw and Edward Gordon Craig's production of Laurence Housman’s nativity play "Bethlehem", 1902. Includes a programme card, "Final announcement" inviting subscriptions to a private performance at the Imperial Institute, typed from Ifan Kyrle Fletcher to Percy Rhodes, dated 24 November 1933 (possibly removed from ECL copy 5 of the play), and MS. leaf with two verses of a carol, 'Here is the little door ...'.
