Containing prints of Edward Gordon Craig’s designs for ‘Hamlet’, mostly of the characters. Each has been signed and dated by Craig. Most of the prints have been individually mounted, with some loose prints.
Also included in the box is a pamphlet entitled ‘Gordon Craig and the Cranach Press, Hamlet’, which includes two woodcut prints of the figure of Electra, one of which has been labelled by Craig ‘proof of the reverse to satisfy idle curiosity’.
