Janet Leeper met Edward Gordon Craig in 1946 and they quickly became friends. In 1948 she wrote ‘Edward Gordon Craig, Designs for the Theatre’ (published by Penguin books) concerning his life and his work.
The autograph letters concern all aspects of Edward Gordon Craig’s work, mainly in relation to Leeper’s book, as well as other matters relating to the theatre more generally.
