Correspondence with Alfred A. Knopf Incorporated and Victor Gollancz, Ltd., regarding the publication of the biography. The letters concern comments on the manuscript and proofs, the illustrations for the work, typed suggestions for corrections or amendments, a typescript draft of the acknowledgements, advice over copyright permissions and updates on the publication process.
Autographs notes made by Edward A. Craig, responding to the letters from the publishers are also included as well as some copies of his outgoing letters to the publishers.
Also included are royalty statements from publishers Knopf and Gollancz and letters from individuals who helped in the production, including proof reading and pulling together the index for the work. It includes letters from Arnold Rood and extensive correspondence with Herbert van Thal of London Authors Representation Ltd., who represented Craig, regarding the initial publishing agreements for the work.
