Containing Ellen Terry’s personal copies of the scripts for plays she performed in, often alongside Henry Irving. Some have Terry’s autograph inscriptions and annotations and are signed by Terry.
Some of the scripts are incomplete.
The scripts are printed and bound, although in a poor condition, with a number of the pages detached.
They have been divided into three boxes containing the following scripts:
Box 1:
- Iolanthe, an opera by Gilbert and Sullivan (1881)
- Peter the Great, a play in five acts by Laurence Irving (1898)
- Camma, a tragedy
- King Lear, by William Shakespeare and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving [1892]
- Hamlet, by William Shakespeare and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving (1878)
- Becket, by Alfred Lord Tennyson, and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving [1893]
Box 2:
- Ravenswood, by Herman Merivale (1889-1890)
- Cymbeline, by William Shakespeare and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving (1896)
- Merchant of Venice, by William Shakespeare and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving (1895)
- King Arthur, by J. Comyns Carr [1895]
Box 3:
- Macbeth, by William Shakespeare and arranged for the stage by Henry Irving [1889]
- Nance Oldfield, by Charles Reade [1891], enclosed is a photograph of Terry and Edward Gordon Garden who also acted in the play

- The Medicine Man, by H. D. Traill and Robert S. Hichens [1898]
