John Wethered Power (1893-1916) attended Eton from 1907, joining Booker's House. He later served as part of the 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards during WWI. He was killed in action on the 10th September 1916 and is buried in France.

In grey box: papers relating to Power's military service, newspaper obituaries, papers and letters relating to his time at Eton, papers relating to his time at Cambridge, proposial for memorial at Stone House (private school), photograph and order of service for memorial in Thurloxton, letters of condolence, other letters.
In black box: printed letter from the War Office, medals and ribbons, photographs, telegram, information about Power's grave, formal citation and letter from King George V, Bronze medallion "He died for freedom and honour", 2 copies of booklet "In memoriam, J.W.P., 1983-1916".
