Content description
The collection of letters from Sassoon consists of a series of letters and cards to Colin Fenton (with one letter to John Sparrow) from 1953-1966, as well as individual letters to recipients including Joan Fargeon, Eddie Marsh, T. H. White, Orlo Williams and Archbishop Temple. The letter, and draft letter, to Archbishop Temple expresses Sassoon's strong contempt of war and the role of the church in conflict.

The series of letters and cards to Colin Fenton are in an individual envelope. The remaining individual letters from Sassoon are in a black ring binder folder, ordered chronologically.
