Letters to Siegfried Sassoon from John Middleton Murry, Bertrand Russell, Frank Schuster, John Maynard Keynes, Harold Nicholson, Stanley Morrison, Vivian de Sola Pinto, Max Meyerfield, Takeshi Saito, Edward Carpenter, William Nicholson (artist), William Elon, Osbert Sitwell, Ottoline Morrell, Noel Coward, Colin S. Owen and Susan Owen (relations of Wilfred Owen), Frank Swinnerton, Katharine Rivers, Vernon Mallinson, James Kirkup and John Gielgud. There are also a number of Christmas cards addressed to the Sassoon family, and letters to Hester Sassoon from Geoffrey Keynes.
Provenance
Many of the individual letters to Sassoon were acquired at the Wilsford Manor Sotheby's sale in 1987 of Stephen Tennant's belongings.
