Diary of Margaret Hannen, begun on her 18th birthday, a year after the death of her mother, Mary Elizabeth Hannen; with occasional entries until her 21st birthday, describing daily life of a young woman in a wealthy London household and family summertime holidays in country houses; also includes notes and some riddles. A sample typescript transcript of six pages from 9-18 Dec 1873 (identified with markers), is inserted at the end of the diary
