This collection of poems was originally written between 1956 and 1962.
This sub-series covers the development of the work from later typescripts through to proof copies of the work. Early draft manuscripts are not included and while some of the typescripts have been corrected, the drafts that have survived mainly represent the working process of compiling the work.
