Content description
A small bundle of letters and related papers Geoffrey Loyd kept with him during the war, and which returned to his brother Robert after his death to send back to the family.
It includes letters to Geoffrey from his mother and father, often responding to what Geoffrey had written about in his letters home. Some letters relate to the Legion of honour and one letter to his mother includes the ribbon of Legion of Honour.
The other papers include ‘Divisional Standing Orders for War’, some maps, and two personal documents of a German soldier with a songbook printed in Berlin in 1897.
