Content description
A green leather letter box, manufactured by Parkins and Gotto of Oxford Street, London, with brass handle and lock and initials 'L.T.' embossed on the lid. The letters of Anne Thackeray Ritche in this series were housed in the box; on the underside there is a label, 'Miss H.T. Ritchie'
Physical characteristics
The cloth and newspaper covering on the underside of the box is ripped and worn
