Professor Jeremy Dibble is a British musicologist currently (2024) who has worked at Durham University's Music Department since 1993. He has published numerous works on music including C. Hubert H. Parry: His Life and Music, Oxford: OUP, (1992, revised 1998). In 1993 he was commissioned by Lloyds Music Foundation to edit and correct C. Hubert H. Parry's Piano Concerto in F sharp major (1880).

John James Stewart Farmer (b. 1934), educated at Eton College and Oxford, was the original founder of Lloyds Music and Arts Society (later Lloyds Music Foundation), who commissioned the edition of Parry's Piano concerto (1880) by Jeremy Dibble in 1993.

Provenance

In 1993, John J S Farmer, original founder of Lloyds Music Foundation, commissioned musicologist and Parry specialist Jeremy Dibble to edit and correct C H H Parry's Piano concerto in F sharp major. Copyright of this autograph edition reverted to Dibble's autograph score from 2 September 1996. On the dissolution of Lloyds Music Foundation c.2000, the autograph score was given by the Trustees to John J S Farmer. In January 2008, Farmer gave his related papers and Dibble's manuscript score to Poppy, Lady Anderson, wife of former Eton College Provost, Eric Anderson. She transferred the papers to Eton College Librarian Michael Meredith in January 2008.
