Vera Roff (1916-2003), was the daughter of civil servant Albert Victor Roff (born 1884) and Florence Edith Spence. Vera was born in Edmonton, Middlesex and grew up grew up in Essex. She went on to become a private secretary to a company director. She died in 2003.

Letters from Elfriede (Friedel/Elfie) Müller in Nuremburg, Germany to her penfriend Vera Roff in Essex, England, describing her life and interests as a teenager growing up in Nazi Germany, including references to her reading Mein Kampf and coming under the influence of Adolf Hitler; includes a photograph of Hitler and a signed photo of photograph of Elfriede, aged 19; also, one letter to Vera from a French penfriend, Simone in Colombes near Paris in 1931
