Biographical note
Eton 1835-1841; Merton College, Oxford 1842. Painted 1841. Sitters Book 1836: `21 pounds' The youngest son of Sir William Mordaunt Stuart Milner of Nun-Appleton Hall in Yorkshire. From 1845 until 1854 he was a Fellow of All Souls. He subsequently became a banker in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
