Photographs of Latin, English and Greek verses, by pupils of Dr George Heath. Each is preceded by a note on the author. Works by Lord Grenville, Charles Grey, William Frere, George Canning, William Lamb Lord Melbourne, Richard Porson, Wesley [believed to be the Duke of Wellington].
The original volume also contained works by William Pitt, who was not at Eton, and some believed to have been by Shelley, but these were not photographed for inclusion in this volume.

The verses by Porson, Frere, Melbourne, Canning, Wesley and Grey were given to Lord Houghton by the daughter of Dr Heath. The verse by Grenville was sent to the great grandfather of Jock Colville by Lord Canning at a later date.
